Brunners in Brooklyn

Looney Tunes

Sam saw his first Wile E Coyote cartoon today, though, instead of laughing at the coyote’s bad luck Sam seemed to empathize with him instead. The entire 3 minute cartoon was punctuated with him exclaiming “oh no.” “Oh No.” “OH NO!” Guess we’ll wait until he’s a bit older. I can only imagine his reaction to Bugs Bunny…

oh no!

OH NO!

I can relate. I remember hoping for at least some parity, because he didn’t seem like such a terrible guy to keep suffering from the same stock-footage fall off the cliff. It’s not like he’s cheering for Elmer Fudd or anything.

Nice to see Sam’s empathy meter is working. This makes me think of a friend of my who could not enjoy the movie “The Hangover” because she was so worried about Doug the whole time. It’s just a movie! The coyote did have it rough, though. He just wanted a nice bird dinner.

I wouldn’t take him to any Globetrotters games, either. Those Generals just let you down again and again.
