We had a short storm this morning resulting in the perfect snow for building snowmen (just a little sticky). Since Sam had a short day at day care today, we decided to head over to the park for some serious playing in the snow. We built a snow man (complete with hair), threw snow balls in the air and watched them crash to the ground (Sam’s new favorite game) and even ate some snow (Sam only). Here are a few photos:

I guess this will be the genesis of Sam’s stories to his grandkids in 2060: “When I was a kid, we didnt’ have fancy toys. You know what I used to do for fun? Throw a snowball into the air and watch it crash. And it was fun, because it was all we had. And if we were hungry, we ate snow.”

Forgot how excited a little boy can get at the sight of snow. That’s until he has to start shoveling it!

He’s so excited in happy in these photos because we were throwing snowballs and watching them crash. It’s 5 days later and he’s still talking about “snowballs up in the air!”
