More conversations with Sam

Now that Sam is talking, it seems like one of the hardest parts of being a parent is just figuring out what he’s trying to say. We’re getting better, but there are still moments (like in the video below) where we really have no idea what he’s talking about. If anyone has a clue, please post in the comments…

And just because I thought it was funny, here’s a short clip of Sam falling asleep while eating earlier today. He was asleep by the time I got his bib off…

Some of you may notice the distinctly midwestern way he says “Yeah” in the first video. I guess he’s not going to develop that Brooklyn accent after all…

  1. Wow, I’m impressed with the singing. Sam is sure growing up fast. Loved the Ba, Ba, Black Sheep redition. What’s next? American Idol?

  2. Sam seemed very gracious in helping you guys understand what was going on in the story. It sounds pretty deep. No wonder he passes out from exhaustion mid-dinner.

  3. I think the interrogators were way too soft on the prisoner. If you want the kid to cough up what he knows, you may have to issue some thinly veiled threats and slam your fists on the table every once and a while. That kid is never going to ‘fess up until you put a little more pressure on.

  4. Very impressive that he can still eat while he is essentially asleep. It is funny to try to interperet what babies are saying. Who really knows?

  5. I am crying I’m laughing so hard. That is so precious. I had to call Jeff in to see it too. We think you should send it to Americas Funniest Home Videos. Thanks for sharing!!!!
