We had a great trip to Oklahoma for Thanksgiving. Those Soderfelt kids are proof that kids grow up FAST–all 3 are much taller and more mature than the last time we saw them.
The trip was really about relaxing and playing – basketball, tag, board games, bonfires and even a trip to the Christmas tree farm. Sam had a great time and learned the words firecracker and Bugatti (Alex showed him the coveted Matchbox car and Sam continued to hunt down that specific car–the kid has expensive tastes!). Beth and I even treated ourselves to a massage.
UPDATE – We had so many photos from the trip I decided to post them online. Click below to take a look!

Looks like Sam was unhappy being a “little” tree. Typical kid thing. They always want to be older. Then once you get to be a “big tree,” you want to go back to when you were a “small tree.” Is anybody getting this? Maybe it’s too deep!
He was actually enjoying it, but that was the best picture in the series. It felt like the sun was shining directly into our eyes!
Is someone crouched behind Sam? Maybe I’m just imagining things behind and to the side of him. If there is someone there, he/she did a good job hiding behind the tree.
It’s Alex! He’s the biggest person there, but somehow managed to crouch behind a Sam-sized tree.
Yea – Alex was not very far from Sam most of the visit…..good eyes J! All that specialized training is working, I see.
