Well, it finally happened: Sam heard a song and couldn’t help but get his groove on. It was a lazy Saturday afternoon, the sounds of and INXS Best Of collection were pumping out of the living room speakers and suddenly a song came on that caused Sam to stop and take notice. That song? Suicide Blonde. I can’t say I wasn’t surprised. Definitely not my favorite INXS song, but it’s got a good beat and you can definitely dance to it (or just stand there doing mini-squats with a goofy smile on your face).
This next song didn’t get Sam dancing but he definitely enjoyed clapping along with the people in the song. It’s a song called ‘Tightrope’ by the Brooklyn band the Yeasayers and it’s off a really great compilation called ‘Dark Was the Night’. His dancing is really just a wiggle–it looks more like he’s losing his balance. But he’s now done it enough times that we’re pretty sure it’s a deliberate dance move.
