My belly is noticeably big now, and people have started commenting. Two times last week, I actually had people offer me their seats on the subway. I’m now in week 23, and the baby is probably 7 or 8 inches long now. In the last week, I’ve started feeling little nudges inside, but nothing too obvious yet. I still generally feel great, but I’ve started having occasional mild backaches and leg cramps.
To get you caught up on the progress to date, here’s the sonograms we’ve had. The first is at 7 weeks when the baby was just a little nugget – this was when we first heard the heartbeat. The second sonogram was at 12 weeks, when it looked more like a baby, but still a bit odd (check out those skinny little legs!). The third sonogram, which we got just 2 weeks ago, was a well-formed human with all the major bones and organs.
